Haiti after the Earthquake
Thursday, March 1, 7:30 p.m.
We have heard about Haiti and seen pictures brought to us by Meg McCann of St. Philip’s in Durham. During her visit to Haiti she went to Zanmi Lasante, where Paul Farmer first established a major health services program. Tracy Kidder described the work there in his book Mountains beyond Mountains; now we can read a report on Haiti’s disastrous earthquake in Farmer’s own words. Please plan to read his book Haiti after the Earthquake and join us in the Cooke-Lawrence Room.
